SAZKA
MODULAR FURNITURE
Innovative modular furniture made of recycled winning and unsold lottery tickets, developed for SAZKA in partnership with product designer, Filip Krampla.
How can we breathe new life into old winning and unsold Sazka lottery tickets? We crafted modular furniture! Sazka modular furniture is changing the game in sustainability by adopting a furniture design based on recycled materials.
MATERIAL
A total of 1,700 kg of lottery tickets was used to make 20 pieces of furniture.
TECHNOLOGY
The technology of pressing lottery tickets into the form of ecological boards plays a key role in the entire production process. The Czech company Lisatech, an expert in developing and producing ecological lines focused on the sustainable use of waste materials, ensured this. Thanks to a unique patented technology, they can create functional boards from waste materials with a wide range of uses.
DESIGN
Sazka modular furniture utilizes a unique hexagonal design inspired by the Sazka logo. The technology of pressing lottery tickets into the form of ecological boards plays a key role in the entire production process.
CIRCULARITY
From a unique board filled with lottery tickets to the locally sourced production process, every step is a testament to our commitment to sustainability. Each piece of furniture is fully circular; it can be disassembled, the individual boards crushed, then pressed back into new boards, and finally glued together again to create new furniture.
"We took less than 2000 kg of secondary material and transformed it into unique modular furniture that promises long-term repairability and variability. I enjoy working with innovative materials and unconventional solutions that fit into the principle of sustainability,"
says Filip Krampla, product designer, about the production process
