SAZKA

KICKZ

The world’s first scratchable sneakers made from recycled lottery tickets. With the collaborative efforts of design studio NAUT, we pushed boundaries in a lucky shoe design that, when scratched, produces a whole new design.

Sazka Kickz

DESIGN

The design is inspired by the Rentier lottery tickets, as the recycled pieces are in the sole. The upper is scratchable, yet the design stays simple, smooth, and sleek. The sole has a unique hexagonal design inspired by the Sazka logo, and the design works in a way that makes each shoe unique.

MATERIAL

Silver lining? Owners are not only able to scratch the shoe in any way they want, but once the water-based acrylic paint is removed, the actual design differs on each upper.

From the eco-leather made from apples to the hexagonal sole design inspired by the Sazka logo, each detail of the Sazka Kickz reflects our dedication to eco-conscious practices and innovative design.

PRODUCTION

Sneakers are locally made in Slavičín by a family company, Jančařík.

DESIGN PROCESS

"First, we designed 3D models of the soles in each size and had them 3D-printed. Then, using the 3D-printed soles, we created silicon molds of the soles. We hand-filled the mold with the best mix of rubber and recycled scratch cards to create a durable yet flexible sole. Each sole was finalized in-house," saying Tish Seabrook and Filip Nguyen, NAUT product designers, about the production process.

"Both IMMINENT and Sazka gave us quite a bit of freedom when it came to designing and R&D. We appreciate the trust they had in us, as well as the space they made for us to trial and evolve the shoes in order to create the final product,"
